A tight squeeze

I'm on the arena floor right now, standing right in front of the podium and behind the Pennsylvania delegation. We're standing elbow to elbow, leaving me barely enough room to type this post on my BlackBerry. John McCain just walked onto the extended stage to a roaring standing ovation from this capacity crowd inside the Xcel Energy Center here in downtown St. Paul. Vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and her family, McCain's wife, Cindy, and his mother, Roberta, are seated right behind where I'm standing. Cindy McCain and former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge addressed the delegates earlier, helping to build the level of excitement inside the crowded arena.
