No matter whether it's Barack Obama or John McCain who wins the White House in November, one thing is for sure: History will be made with either the first African American president or the first woman vice president.
Today, John McCain introduced Sarah Palin as his running mate. McCain said the Alaska governor is "exactly" what he and the country need. Palin, 44, is described as a conservative with a maverick reputation for bucking the GOP establishment and Alaska's powerful oil industry. She's been governor for less than two years. Before that, she was the mayor of a small town. She and her husband, Todd, have five children.
The choice leaves out several more prominent prospects, including former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, the latter of whom was one of McCain's rivals during the primary.
I think McCain is brilliant in his choice and that the Republicans are going to do wonderful in the elections. McCain has the foreign experience and the senate experience to govern the country. To have a woman vice president is great. I think America will be surprised at how well she speaks and what her ideas are for the nation. Too bad Obama did not pick Hillary Clinton, because the women are going to control this election.

Is this the best America can do? Scary to think that this small town mayor could be in the second (maybe even first) most powerful position in the world. Obviously McCain is so hungy for power he is willing to risk the country to become president.
He's so old, and grumpy, he needs to have this young cheerleader by his side to liven up his campaign.
Whoah!!
