Governor Ed Rendell just called on his fellow Pennsylvania delegates to cast a unanimous vote for Barack Obama's nomination on the convention floor tonight. He said he, as a Hillary Clinton supporter, understands more than anyone if some can't do that, but he'd like to show the country that Pennsylvania Democrats are united as one behind Obama. Rendell's words drew a standing ovation from about half the room.
As the governor left the room, he added his name to the Berks for Obama banner that's been on display during breakfast each morning. It contains the signatures of hundreds of Obama supporters from throughout Berks County.
