You know how they say if you keep something long enough it will come back in style? Well, I'm not sure how "in style" the boots are that I am wearing in Haiti, but I have had them for a long, long time. They keep my feet dry and have helped me navigate some incredibly rocky terraine. I'm glad I begged my mom to buy them for me... in high school.

It's just terrible what henpaped to them. I sometimes think during the day, I am living my life normally just like I lived it a week or 2 ago, same o' same o' routine, duties, and chores, but people there are literally fighting for their lives. I even feel guilty for a few moments.And such things can happen to all of us, no matter where we live...
