Today is the one year anniversary of the earthquake. A national day of prayer for Haiti. This morning Lehigh Valley residents will be joining the Haitians to cut the ribbon on a water filtration system. Then there will be a short service and a lot of singing. Services will be held all over Haiti today, to remember those who perished and to pray for healing.
On January 12, 2010, a massive earthquake devastated Haiti. 69 News traveled to the island nation twice last year to show you how the Lehigh Valley responded to the crisis. Now WFMZ Reporter Jaccii Farris and Photojournalist Lee Jenkins are back in Haiti to share new stories of our region's ever-changing role in the recovery effort there.

I had a compassion child in Haiti svareel years ago. I lost him. He was no longer in the program. He was elementary age then. I always think about him and pray for him. His name was Obenson Paul. I can just imagine the smile of the kiddos that will meet you. Perhaps in the crowd will be Obenson, being filled with joy by the Spirit with your presence. Blessings to you, Sally. You all will be in my prayers.
